Neil Douglas - On the Road to Recovery
[Friday, 22 March 2019 13:48]
Everyone at Forfar Athletic was concerned to learn that Neil Douglas, the Arbroath FC videographer, had taken seriously ill during their home fixture last Saturday against East Fife.
Neil's family have been in touch with the Club to let us know that Neil suffered a major stroke but with the excellent urgent medical attention he received he is now at the start of the long road to recovery.
As many Forfar fans will know Neil was an integral part of FAFC TV capturing many key moments for the Loons before moving onto Gayfield to take up a similar role at the club he supported.
Although at Arbroath, Neil remains a great friend of Forfar Athletic helping out our videographer, Joshua Grimes, and indeed Neil happily stepped in to film the recent FAFC Station Park Match Day event to allow Joshua to take part.
It will of course be a difficult time for Neil and his family with a long period of rehabilitation. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help out financially during this time. Please see the link below - if any Forfar fans would like to lend any support it will be gratefully received.

The players, management team, officials and supporters of Forfar Athletic wish Neil all the very best in his recovery and of course send our very best wishes to his wife Tash and his family.
