Marc McCallum signs Contract Extension

Forfar Athletic supporters, in fact all connected with the club will be delighted with the news tonight that prior to training 26 year old goalkeeper Marc McCallum committed his future to the club till the summer of 2022 by signing a two year extension to his current contract.
Marc a local lad, had previously plied his trade with Dundee United, Livingston and Plymouth Argyle before signing for the ‘Loons’ in July of 2017.
He went on to make 85 competitive appearances for the Station Park outfit over the past two seasons and was the supporters Player of the Year in both campaigns.
Counting eight games between the sticks while on loan to the Athies from United in 2012, Marc is now also due to celebrate his 100th appearance for his hometown club in the week ahead.
It is a major coup for Jim Weir in convincing Marc to commit to the ‘Loons’ cause, at the same time a measure of how settled he is at Station Park.
Talks will continue in the weeks and months ahead with other players in the squad in regard to their future plans.
