Thank You
[Sunday, 29 December 2024 10:20]
On this last weekend of the year, one can only begin by passing on a massive thank you to the supporters who turned out in superb numbers and gave such backing to the team yesterday afternoon in their battling draw with Stirling Albion.
To be fair it is the time of the year when crowds do tend to increase, which begs the question why do we not play more football at a lower level these days over the festive period and the ‘Binos’ had a reasonable travelling support, but the fifty per cent increase in the attendance from what has been the normal surprised all.
Thanks again and despite the fact that the hoped for three point haul on the day proved just beyond us, we trust that you found the entertainment value and commitment on the day worthy of hopefully a return visit?
Thanks also to John and Jillian Simson of A.I. Simson Solid Fuels in Kirriemuir our match sponsors on the day for their continued support of the ‘Loons’ cause.
Their party which included a few familiar faces certainly seemed to enjoy their day and they chose Finn Robson as their Athies Man of the Match.
A thank you as well to Alan Davie and his family, great supporters of the club and recently appointed Director Scott Barn of D&A Factors who were the occupants of the Doug Houston and Stewart Kennedy lounges as they enjoyed not for the first time the Station Park Hospitality experience.
Robin Beattie another member of the club board had a group of friends along many sampling Forfar Athletic hospitality within the Ian McPhee lounge for the first time and to Audrey Lindsay who along with a party of family and friends were hosted in the Archie Knox Lounge.
Finally thanks to Bruce Craik of HBB Geosales for his continued backing on this occasion the support of the 1984 Lounge Hospitality package.
The support of all is so appreciated.
A trip over the Tay to face Dick Campbell’s East Fife side is on the ‘menu’ for this coming Saturday, the man himself an ever welcome board room guest yesterday afternoon.
This is followed by a visit from the current league leaders Elgin City on January 11th.
