East Fife v Forfar Athletic - Match Information
[Tuesday, 31 December 2024 18:11]
The ‘Loons’ first footing mission this season will see them head to Bayview Stadium in Methil on Saturday first for what is our ‘local’ derby these days in the William Hill League2 against East Fife.
This will be the third meeting of the campaign between the sides. The Fifers edged home by a 2-1 score line back in August over in Fife, the match at Forfar in October, an instantly forgettable goalless draw.
The home side currently sit in third place in the table on the thirty point mark, but have two games in hand on the two sides above them, Elgin City and Peterhead.
Station Park gaffer Jim Weir is hopeful of having a new face or two in the Athies ranks by kick-off with the registration window re-opening on New Year’s Day.
Hopefully a reasonable number of supporters will be able to make the journey to the East Neuk at the weekend to lend their backing to the ‘Loons’ cause.
