On the back of two successive away wins, one in the KDM Evolution Trophy, the second our first league win of the campaign on foreign soil, the ‘Loons’ are on their travels again on Saturday first to the re-named Marbill Coaches Stadium in Dumbarton on match day fourteen in the William Hill League2.
Jim Weir and his players will head to the banks of the Clyde keen to avenge their defeat from the ‘Sons’ earlier in the campaign when the home side frittered away a two goal lead, Stevie Farrell’s outfit heading back west with all three points courtesy of a 3-2 success.
Dumbarton who of course began the campaign with a five point penalty now sit three points adrift of the Athies, this following their 2-0 defeat at Elgin on Saturday past.
Our last visit to Dumbarton was back in February of 2024, the sides on that occasion battling out a 2-2 draw on a playing surface only declared playable three hours before kick-off.
Admission prices for Saturday’s contest are very similar to those levied at the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park;-
Adults (16-65) £15
Concessions (Over 65 & Full time Students – ID required) £10
Under 16’s £5
Tickets are available in advance through the Fanbase website, see the Dumbarton FC Official Facebook page for further detail. A payment facility at the Stadium on match day is also provided.
