Dundee v Forfar Athletic - League Cup - Tuesday 27th August
[Wednesday, 21 August 2013 15:20]
Following complaints received by ‘Loons’ officials this morning with regard to the seating arrangements for away supporters at last night’s Ramsdens Cup tie, the matter was taken up in a very amicable manner with the host club.
To say that Dundee Football Club have reacted in a prompt and positive manner would be an understatement.
Their General Manager Jim Thomson has stated his disappointment that some Forfar fans would appear not to have enjoyed their experience at Dens Park on Tuesday night, at the same time confirming that at next week’s re-match in the League Cup, the away support will be housed in the BOB SHANKLY STAND instead of the east wing of the main stand.
Entry will be by turnstiles 33/35.
Again the reduced admission charges of £10 for adults and £5 concessions will apply.
The Forfar Directors were delighted with the level of support, just over 300 travelling fans at Dens last night.
Even more importantly the Management and Players were thrilled with the vocal level of that support.
The disappointment was of course the end result, but the players could not have been faulted for their efforts.
Hopefully now that the seating scenario has been resolved to the credit of Dundee Football Club with whom Forfar Athletic have always had an outstanding relationship, we can count on a similar number making the short journey again on Tuesday of next week.
There is the important matter of a meeting with the ‘auld enemy’, well actually they are ‘auld friends’ at Glebe Park on Saturday on the agenda first.
