Gavin Swankie Agrees To Extend Contract

At the end of to say the least hectic week, there was more good news for ‘Loons’ fans filtering from a rain and wind lashed Station Park last night.
Following the 1-1 draw with Arbroath it was announced that club skipper Gavin Swankie has accepted an offer from the ‘Loons’ to extend his current contract which was due to expire in May of next year by a further two years.
This means that Gavin will be a Station Park player until at the very least the spring of 2016.
Not surprisingly Manager Dick Campbell and club officials are delighted with this news.
It is also likely that the Manager will have talks with a few other players early in the New Year with regard to extending their stay with the club.
At present Dick is busy trying to convince Dale Hilson to extend his current temporary transfer from Dundee United for the rest of the season, while he will also have to make decisions on the futures of Michael Dunlop and Bryan Deasley currently on loan with Berwick Rangers and Montrose respectively. Their temporary transfers both expire in the first week of 2014.
