Redevelopment of Station Park Hospitality Facility.
[Sunday, 09 February 2014 23:14]
The Board has been working on a project to totally redevelop and upgrade our Hospitality Unit in the next close season thus being fully available for the start of season 2014/15. This will be a substantial investment for the Club to undertake not only in man hours but financially especially in that it follows hard on the heels of the pitch replacement and the installation of new floodlights.
It is our intention to develop out a facility which will split into six separate rooms thus retaining the individual room feel that exists and is enjoyed on match days but within this arrangement have a 48 seat function room which could expand out to accommodate parties of close on 100. A full bar facility will also be incorporated and needless to say we are keen to let these rooms out to the general public, local organisations and businesses outwith match days. The facility/rooms will also be available for hire along with the pitch which is already enjoying good hire uptake through our 'Station Park Experience' partnership. In the future we intend to develop the concept of a Corporate Lounge for local businesses and individuals to use and would welcome input as we start to shape this arrangement.
Funding such a project, whilst retaining a competitive team on the park, is clearly a challenge and it is our firm wish that we keep the club fully solvent and not financially overstretched at any time. Accordingly to ensure a high standard of finish we wish to maximise income from hospitality packages, room lets and advertising which will allow us to complete the work at a high level of internal specification including video conferencing and training facilities.
To help explain the project we are holding two short presentations at which we will be set out the operation of the facility and these events will take place in the Boardroom at Station Park on 21st February and 10th March 2014 from 7.30 onwards. Due to space constraints numbers will, unfortunately, require to be limited and if you are interested in attending and supporting the club in any way with this venture then it would be helpful if you could confirm your attendance to This email address is being protected from spambots.
