The Under 19 side’s disappointing run of results in the SPFL League Cup competition continued at Station park on Sunday afternoon when they lost 3-2 to a youthful Dundee side.
Cameron Clark who had netted four goals in a 6-5 defeat on the Dens Park side’s last visit five weeks back gave the home side a first minute lead on this occasion.
However by the early stages of the second period, the visitors had gone 3-1 ahead, prior to Clark reducing the leeway with his second ten minutes from the final whistle.
The young ‘Loons’ pressed for an equaliser in those closing stages to no avail, a red card for Paul McLellan in the 84th minute a further blow.
Stirling Albion are the next opponents on the schedule, the game having been brought forward to Friday the 28th at Station Park with an 8 pm kick off.
