Three Under 19’s given ‘pro’ contracts

All three 18 year old Paul McLellan and 19 year olds Liam Keiller and Craig Smith were on the bench for Saturday’s victory over Ayr United.

Paul replaced Dale Hilson in the final ten minutes of the contest, his second first team appearance of the season, while Craig has made three sub appearances, the most notable against Brechin City in the cup replay when he smashed home the decisive penalty in the shoot-out to clinch a fourth round berth for the club. Liam has made one sub appearance to date in the campaign.

The fact that all three players will now join the first team squad for pre-season training in mid June is a great boost for the younger players at the club and also for their coaches, Barry Sellars, Eddie Gray and Arthur Gray.
