Darren heads to the Premiership

Forfar Athletic are on the look out for a goalkeeper just a couple of weeks before the start of the competitive campaign after club officials slightly reluctantly accepted a bid from Premiership bound Hamilton Accies for Darren Hill.
They did however have to take Darren’s position into account. Currently unemployed, the 32 year old keeper was getting the opportunity of a tilt at full-time football.
The Falkirk based custodian had spent 18 months with the ‘Loons’ having been signed from near neighbours Arbroath.
A moderate fee is involved in the transfer with a further ‘potential’ bonus payment written into the agreement with the Lanarkshire outfit.
This leaves Dick Campbell with the experienced Rab Douglas to call upon for the ‘green’ jersey, youngster Ross Salmon who acquitted himself well in the friendly with Livingston as current back-up keeper.
