Of The Loons
The club’s new hospitality complex incorporating the 1984 Lounge and five hospitality lounges was officially opened prior to Saturday’s game with Morton by the Manager of the 1983/4 Division Two Championship winning side Doug Houston who was joined by the captain of that side and the club’s record appearance holder Ian McPhee.
Chairman Alastair Donald welcomed the assembled company and paid tribute to all who had been involved in the project which has cost over £180,000.
Club Secretary David McGregor then gave a short speech outlining the achievements of the team of the early eighties, before Doug performed the official opening ceremony by unveiling a plaque within the lounge.
The day was completed by an excellent on field performance by the class of 2014 allowing many happy ‘Loons’ fans to enjoy a beer or two in the well filled lounge a the final whistle.
