The ‘Loons’ two promising forwards Craig Smith and Paul McLellan are to continue in the junior ranks in the second half of the campaign.
Both players who made first team substitute appearances in the early part of the season were originally farmed out in early November.
Craig’s temporary transfer to East League North league leaders Downfield has now been extended to the end of the season.
Paul who was with Dundee North End has however decided to spend the next few months plying his trade on a Saturday with Broughty Athletic in the East Premier League.
Both players will still be available for Forfar Athletic’s fixtures in the SPFL Development League East section, which re-commence with a re-arranged home game against Berwick Rangers on Tuesday the 13th of January. Kick off for this game is 7.45p.m.
Both players also took part in a closed doors fixture at Station Park last night when a home side which included Michael Travis, Stuart Malcolm, Aaron James, Gavin Malin, James Dale and Martyn Fotheringham in it’s starting line-up defeated a Dundee United Under 20 side 4-1.
Another of the club’s younger players Liam Keiller has been released from his contract at his own request.
