Dave Patullo

The ‘Loons’ lost one of their oldest and for that matter staunchest supporters with the passing early yesterday at the age of 94 of Dave Patullo
A life long fan and season ticket holder, Dave was a regular at Station Park throughout most of his adult life.
He was in particular from the time it was constructed in the early eighties, a familiar figure perched on match days high up on the west terracing in all weathers along with his great friend and former post office colleague Will Shepherd.
Failing health in recent times had prevented him from attending matches, but he still took and avid interest in ‘Loons’ affairs. Over the years along with his wife of seven decades Amy, he was also a regular supporter of many of the club and Supporters Club fund raising functions.
The sympathy of the Forfar Athletic Directors are extended at this sad time to Amy, sons George, Ernest and David all of whom have followed their father’s example and are regulars on the Station Park terraces and their families.
Appropriately Dave’s funeral is to be held on a Saturday, although well before kick off time, at the East and Old Parish Church at 9.45a.m.
