New Season Dates announced

The SPFL have today confirmed that the start dates for their major competitions will be along similar lines to this season for the 2015/16 campaign.

Of course major change with regard to a much earlier start to the League Cup competition, possibly as early the first Saturday in July, is in the pipeline for the 2016/17 season.

Back to next season however and the first round of the Petrofac Cup will take place on Saturday July 25th,

The opening round of the League Cup in which the ‘Loons’ will be one of the seeded teams next term will take place on Saturday August 1st.

The Premiership will also commence that afternoon with the Championship, League One and League Two getting underway seven days later on Saturday August 8th.
