Sportsmans Dinner
[Wednesday, 13 May 2015 11:44]
What has to be one of the busiest spells in the club’s history continues on Friday night of this week when a sell out audience will congregate once again in the Reid Hall for what is amazingly our 20th Annual Sportsmans Dinner.
All tables a the event were in fact snapped up many months back by repeat bookings from last year, quite remarkable when one considers that similar events throughout the country are at times struggling to attract patrons.
A star studded line up of entertainers/speakers on the night is headed by former Wolves and Manchester City player Steve Daley now a well recognised raconteur on the circuit, backed by retired Glasgow headmaster and one of Scotland’s top after dinner performers Sandy Strang making a more than welcome return to the venue. Comedian and radio presenter Des McLean who also hails from the West of Scotland will be making his first appearance at the Dinner.
Compere for the evening is ‘Loons’ boss Dick Campbell who will also act as the official auctioneer in the latter part of the evening.
The club are as ever still on the look out for a few raffle prizes and any supporter who would like to assist with a donation should simply contact any club official.
To those hosting a table at the event and still meaning to place a pre-order for drinks, please return the appropriate order form no later than Thursday afternoon.
Finally to all attending, a reminder that the proceedings are due to get underway at 7.15p.m. prompt.
