The Chairman, Alastair Donald, has moved quickly to end speculation surrounding his future at the club.
It is no secret that he had been considering his position but at a board meeting tonight he confirmed to his fellow directors his intention to continue.
The Chairman commented "It had ben my intention to step down but I was not prepared for the reaction of the players, management and directors. I just want to move on now and start planning for next a season."
The board intend to announce a "shake up" in the board room in the coming weeks.
