MATCH PREVIEW: Forfar Athletic v Cove Rangers
[Monday, 13 July 2015 09:16]
Forfar Athletic continue their pre-season campaign on Tuesday evening with what is now an almost annual July visit from Highland League side Cove Rangers.
The Aberdeen side have moved out of their Allan Park ground this season, as they await confirmation of plans to build a new purpose built stadium close by and will in fact play their ‘home’ Highland League fixtures at four venues.
Managed by former Montrose legend John Sheran, they actually defeated the ‘Gable Endies’ 3-1 in a pre-season joust at Links Park on Friday night.
The ‘Loons’ resources will again be stretched through injuries and holiday commitments with Gavin Malin added to the list heading for the treatment room in the dying embers of Saturday’s 1-1 draw with East Stirling.
It would be fair to say that the fans will be hoping for more goal mouth action on Tuesday than was witnessed in what was to be fair a fairly turgid affair on Saturday.
The kick off on Tuesday evening is 7.45p.m.
Admission prices are £6 adults, £3 concessions (under 17’s & 65 and over)
Forfar Athletic season ticket holders should utilise voucher 3
Season tickets will be on sale prior to kick-off at the Secretary’s office.
The 1984 Lounge at the ground will be open from 6.45p.m. till kick-off and for thirty minutes after the final whistle.
A reminder that our final pre-season game is on Saturday July 18th when Berwick Rangers will be the visitors to Station Park, the kick-off 3p.m.
