The ‘Loons’ Development team lost 2-1 at Stenhousemuir on Tuesday night at Ochilview in an SPFL Development League fixture, despite giving a performance over the ninety minutes that delighted the watching coaching staff.
Fielding a very youthful side with only Craig Smith listed as an over age player against a very experienced home eleven, the visitors went behind to a Lewis Small goal in the 8th minute.
The Athies were rewarded for their efforts with what looked likely to be a share of the spoils with an equalising goal in the 87th minute from trialist Adam Braid.
However deep into added on time, Euan Murray netted a slightly undeserved winner for the ‘Warriors.’
