Simple Simons clinch quiz win in tie-break

Stephen Donaldson, Stewart Fraser, Colin Gordon and Scott Peters under the guise of ‘Simple Simons’ were the football quiz champions in the 1984 Lounge on Friday evening.

Disappointingly only nine teams turned up on the night, but those that did had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

In the end after five rounds of questions, the ‘Simple Simons’ and Gary Neave’s ‘Three Bridies and a Peh’ were tied on 100 points each out of a possible 120.

Stephen’s team ‘rose to the occasion’ however in the five question tie-break to lift the crown.
