Sportsmans Dinner

The Annual Sportsmans Dinner in the Reid Hall on Friday 20^th May was a great success.  

An attendance of 260 enjoyed a great night’s entertainment, with Willie Young again proving that he is one of the top after dinner entertainers on the Scottish circuit.   Ian ‘Sludge’ Lees had the audience in stitches with a string of one liners while all present were thrilled to see Dick Campbell in such sparkling form in his compere role.

The club’s finances most certainly got a boost from the evening and thanks in particular to the following who donated items to one of the best auctions we have had in recent times;- Orchard Timber Products, Small Ply, James Donaldson Timber, Sheffield Insulations, Dundee United FC., Avenue Scotland, Dave and Angie Dunlop and Murray Scotland.

Thanks also to Jim Farquhar and Scott Murdie in particular who made substantial donations to the raffle on the night.

A date for your diary.   Our 17^th Annual Sportsmans Dinner is scheduled for Friday May 18^th, 2012.
