Far Flung Fans

Last Saturday we had the pleasure of the company at Station Park of Simon Harvey who made the 1,000 mile plus round trip from his home in South Wales to celebrate his 50th birthday and sponsor the game against East Fife into the bargain.
It was of course not the first time this season that Simon has made the trip north of the border to support his beloved ‘Loons’ nor will it be the last.
This Saturday however it is the turn of that other great long distance fan Barry Stevens.
Barry who started his many pilgrimages with his father from his home in Chandlers Ford in Hampshire to see the Athies away back in the late seventies, his first visit in fact resulting in a 1200 mile round trip only for the game to be postponed!
Well this weekend Barry is heading to Pitmedden for the cup tie, one of his many visits in a season either to Station Park or an away venue.
This time round he is taking the luxury option with a flight from Southampton to Manchester, then a connecting flight to Aberdeen.
Rest assured lads your backing is much admired by club officials as of course if all the tremendous backing and support the club receives from supporters within the Forfar area and beyond at all times and in many different ways.
