Jim Lister calls it a day

Following his recent injury which was certain to rule him out for the remainder of the season and perhaps beyond, Jim Lister has decided to ‘hang up his boots’ and has come to a mutual arrangement with the ‘Loons’ to cancel his contact.
Jim now 36 years of age, began his senior career slightly late in life in 2008 with Berwick Rangers following a successful spell in the junior world with Oakley and Camelon.
From Berwick, he went on to wear the colours of Alloa Athletic, Brechin City, Dumbarton and Airdrie before arriving at Station Park in the summer of 2016.
Last season Jim made thirty three starting appearances for the Athies, as well as seven from the bench, netting ten goals.
This term he had made nine starts as well as four appearances as a sub, prior to injury bringing a premature halt to his season.
Jim who intends to move into coaching at some level leaves Station Park with the best wishes of all for his future.
Jim admitted he had thoroughly enjoyed the last eighteen months with the ‘Loons’ and praised the club for the way they treat the players.
He also wanted to thank the fans for their backing, especially the younger element with whom he felt a particular bond.
