Michael Kennedy ruled out for Gayfield

Knee ligament damage is the initial verdict on Michael Kennedy’s injury after the young defender was stretchered off during the second half of Saturday’s cup tie at Formartine.

This will rule him out of Saturday’s local derby at Arbroath, but the likely recovery period has still to be fully assessed.

Sadly Michael now joins Murray Mackintosh on the treatment table just as both players who were products of the club’s Development Side had established themselves in Jim Weir’s first choice eleven.
