Jack and Ben sign one year contracts

Despite the news with regard to the club’s non participation in the proposed Reserve League East, Forfar Athletic officials are delighted that two of the younger fraternity in the ‘Loons’ squad have been rewarded with one year professional contracts.

Midfielder Jack Allan and forward Ben Starkey both of whom were previously on an amateur registration at Station Park have been rewarded for their progress over the past season.

Both were regulars in the SPFL Development League East side as well as being members from the moment Jim Weir arrived on the scene of the first team match day squad.

Jack who hails from Monifieth and Ben who lives in Kirriemuir both made their Ladbrokes League 1 debuts from the bench during the course of the campaign.

Both players having committed their immediate future to the Athies are already eagerly awaiting the commencement of pre-season training over at St. Andrews on June 16th.
