A Busy Day at Station Park!

Forfar Athletic Manager Jim Weir this afternoon added three more faces to his player pool for the 2018/19 season, although two of them are familiar faces to ‘Loons’ supporters.
Twenty one year old defender Darren Whyte who moved to Station Park from St. Mirren on a temporary transfer in late September of last year has made the move permanent. He quickly established himself as a regular in the Athies line up either at left back or in the middle of the defence, becoming a favourite with the home support into the bargain and consequently made twenty six appearances.
Darren following his release by the ‘Buddies’ has signed a one year contract with the ‘Loons.’
Michael Kennedy who has been with the Station Park club since 2014 has signed a further one year extension to his contract.
The season just past was cut short for the St. Madoes based defender when he received a serious injury in the cup tie defeat at Formartine in November, but he has fought back to near full fitness and has been rewarded with the new deal.
He hopes to be fully fit by the time pre-season fixtures come round in late June.
The new face at the club is 23 year old midfield player Thomas Reilly who has signed a pre-contract agreement.
Thomas began his senior career at St. Mirren, before being signed by Jim Weir for Elgin City in 2015.
Consequently he made over fifty appearances for the Boroughbriggs club and Jim is delighted to re-new their association.
Thomas has also put pen to appear on a one year deal.
