Want to join the FAFC Media Team?
[Thursday, 31 May 2018 13:09]
The Club is looking to develop its online
media presence and a major part of this is FAFCTV which provides match footage for
the Club website as well as for a range of social media platforms. As regular
watchers will know FAFCTV also films interviews with players and the management
team and other key events around the Club. These videos are very much enjoyed
not only by those who come along to Station Park every week but by many people
around the world who have a connection to Forfar and want to keep in touch with
what is happening at the Club.
As part of the development of our
media activities, a voluntary
opportunity has become available for the role of Media Assistant. The main
duties of this role will be assisting Josh Grimes, the Club’s lead cameraman,
with filming matches and interviews but other projects may come on stream depending
on the skillset of the successful candidate. By having someone to support Josh
at FAFCTV we aim to create a better match-day experience with increased video coverage
on YouTube and through other social media channels.
We are looking for an enthusiastic
individual who may be interested in a career as a videographer, video editor or
journalist or someone who is simply interested in this as a
hobby. The individual need not be a Forfar Athletic fan but they should have an
understanding of football and they must demonstrate a willingness to learn
about the Club in order to undertake the role successfully.
Experience of using video
cameras and Video Editing Software would
be helpful but not essential as training will be given. (FAFCTV use Movie Maker
& Camtasia). Equipment is provided.
Availability on Saturdays on a regular
basis during the football season is important although the successful applicant
will not be required every Saturday.
Further details are available from Josh
Grimes at E: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or via Twitter
direct message to @fafctv.
Anyone interested in the role should
email Josh their contact details, a short bio and why they think they would be
well suited to this role (please keep the submission to one page of A4).
The deadline for applications is Friday 15th June 2018.
