All involved at Station Park have been saddened by the news this weekend of the death of John Ritchie.
John was the club’s Assistant Manager under Henry Hall in the 1987/88 season, before heading off to manage his first love in the game neighbours Brechin City.
The amiable Fifer returned to the ‘Loons’ on a couple of occasions during the Dick Campbell era as goalkeeping coach, an area in which he was reckoned to be one of the leading experts in the Scottish game and as Chief Scout.
He had in recent times been part of Dick and Ian’s coaching team at Gayfield.
The thoughts of the Officials, Directors and Supporters of Forfar Athletic are with John’s family and close friends of which he had many at this sad time.
