Forfar Athletic v Buckie Thistle
[Tuesday, 19 July 2011 12:22]
The Loons begin their competitive campaign at home to Buckie Thistle this Saturday in the first round of the Ramsdens Cup, formerly of course the Alba Challenge Cup.
This is the first time that non SFL clubs have competed in this competition in it’s various guises following a decision taken at the league’s AGM in May to dispense with the fact that two club’s each season received a first round bye through an entry of thirty clubs. Consequently last year’s Highland League Champions Buckie and runners up Deveronvale were invited to participate making the Station Park fixture and the game between Vale and Stirling Albion at Banff fairly historic occasions this coming weekend.
Supporters are reminded that the new charges for competitive games at Station Park come into force on Saturday with ground admission £12 for adults, £6 concessions. Stand admission is £13/£7.
Kick off is as usual 3 pm.
Forfar Atheltic season tickets are still great value at this stage of the campaign and they are available at the Secretary’s office on Saturday from 2p.m. onwards. Remember that season tickets are valid for all Ramsdens Cup and Scottish Communities League Cup fixtures played at Station Park.
