Mark Hill heads back to Parkhead

Saturday’s 3-2 win at the C&G Systems Stadium was the last for the present in the ‘Loons’ colours for 20-year midfield player Mark Hill.
His temporary transfer from Celtic expired at midnight on Saturday and the Parkhead club have decided to recall Mark and it is likely he may be given an opportunity to further his current career on an overseas loan deal.
It is obviously a big disappointment to Jim Weir who worked tirelessly in recent weeks to try and convince Celtic officials to allow Mark to stay with us for the remainder of the campaign.
Mark made his debut for the Athies at Montrose in late September and was an ever-present in all fourteen games played since his arrival on the Station Park scene, netting three goals from his midfield berth.
His no-nonsense style of play quickly endeared himself to the Station Park supporters.
Hopefully, his all too brief spell with the ‘Loons’ will have a positive effect on his playing career and he leaves Station Park with best wishes of all for his future in the game.
