‘Loons’ officials can spread some pre-Christmas cheer to their loyal supporters this morning with the news that striker Dale Hilson scorer of both goals in the 2-1 victory over Montrose last Saturday last night signed a one-year extension to his current contract with the club.
The Stirling based forward has therefore committed to the club until the end of the 2019/20 season.
Dale who made a record number of appearances for the Station Park outfit in numerous loan spells from his then parent club Dundee United finally became a fully fledged Forfar player when he signed an original 18-month contract upon his release from
St. Mirren in January of this year.
Dale who celebrates his 26th birthday on Sunday of this coming weekend has been a fans favourite over the years with Athies supporters and there is little doubt that there would have been interest from other clubs in his services as the season progressed had Jim Weir not convinced him to extend his stay with the ‘Loons.’
Young midfielder Connor Coupe who signed a six-month contract in the summer has also agreed to extend his Station Park stay until the end of the current campaign at present.
