Forfar Athletic can confirm the signing of Hamilton Accies defender George Stanger on a temporary transfer until the end of the current season.
The 19-year-old who measures in at 6 feet 3 inches tall began his senior career with Stirling Albion’s youth set-up before moving to Hamilton in January of 2018.
He was then subsequently loaned back to Albion for the remainder of that campaign.
Earlier this season he made his first-team debut for the Accies in a Lanarkshire derby against Motherwell, prior to heading out on loan to East Kilbride at the time managed by Stuart Malcolm.
Stuart has therefore been keen to secure his services for some weeks now and is glad to have got the deal over the line now that the registration window is open.
Thanks to his New Zealand born mother, George was able to represent that country at the FIFA Under 20 World Cup in Poland last summer.
Dunblane based, George’s father Tony is a former Scottish and British Lions international rugby player
