Ross Forbes heads back west

Forfar Athletic can this morning confirm social media speculation that Ross Forbes has re-joined Dumbarton FC.

Ross who arrived at Station Park last summer from the ‘Sons’ on a two-year contract made 24 starting appearances for the ‘Loons’ netting six times.

However, he found balancing his full-time employment as a railway engineer with travel to Forfar for training on a Thursday evening and matches a difficult balance.

The player intimated that he was keen on a move back to a club in the west of the country and following discussions with all parties, an amicable parting of the ways was agreed.
