Scottish Cup

A final reminder to Forfar Athletic supporters that tickets for the home support end of the ground will be on sale from the Secretary’s Office at Station Park on Friday January 6th from 11 am to 12 noon and from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm and on Saturday morning from 9.30 am to 12 noon.
The club would again emphasise that there will be no cash turnstiles available at the game.
Due to the time of the year and taking into account the holiday period and the possible vagaries of the Scottish weather which thankfully look as it will not be a problem the club officials took the decision to print their normal match programme for the first competitive meeting between the clubs since 1923 and it will be available from sellers within the ground at a cost of £1.50.
At present a crowd of between 3,500 and 4,000 looks a distinct possibility and although ‘Dons’ fans will outnumber the home support, ‘Loons’ fans are still asked to come along as early as possible to avoid turnstile congestion. The home support will enter by their normal turnstiles in Carseview Road which will be open from 2 pm . Stand patrons will enter by the east stand turnstile.
Parking will be restricted in the vicinity of the ground. There will be a no parking zone round the back of the stand while the car park beside the old gasworks is expected to be full to capacity well in advance of the kick-off time.
The Market Muir Car Park and the parking facilities made available by Laurie & Symington to whom the club are very grateful will be for the use of Aberdeen supporters coaches and cars prior to them entering the ground either by the north west turnstile block or the west stand turnstile.
Again visiting fans are urged to come to the ground as early as possible.
All supporters are asked to co-operate at all times with the police and stewards to add to the enjoyment of the big day.
