Duncan Reid Signs Contract

Forfar Athletic can tonight confirm the signing of 17yr old Duncan Reid, from Kirriemuir, on a 2.5 year contract.

The youngster is a product of the clubs youth set up and is the first of the crop to break through. Duncan and his parents were quick to thank the club and acknowledge the contribution to his progress made by his coaches at youth level Ian Parsley and Paul White.

Chairman Neill Wilson is thrilled that the newly reformed youth set up is already bearing fruit. Manager Dick Campbell was keen to point out that he had no qualms about issuing such a contract and has high hopes for the youngster stressing though that the hard work has only just begun.

Duncan will remain with the youths this season before commencing with the 1st team next season.
