International Football at Station Park

A reminder to local football enthusiasts that Forfar Athletic will host the Scotland Schoolboys Under 18 Centenary Shield  international fixture against their Welsh Counterparts at Station Park on Thursday March 15th with a 7 pm kick off.

‘Loons’ officials are hopeful that  the local public will turnout in reasonable numbers to support the home side as it will be the first time that a Scottish national side will have played at Station Park.

Two years back the club were due to host a game against Northern Ireland but sadly the weather intervened and at 24 hours notice the fixture had to be switched to Links Park, Montrose where despite the short notice a crowd in excess of 500 turned up to watch an entertaining tussle.

The Scottish youngsters began their campaign in Glasgow on Friday night with a convincing 4-0 victory over Northern Ireland so will journey to Forfar in great heart.
