Thanks Again

‘Loons’ supporters of all ages would have slept better last night after witnessing a classic Scottish Cup tie yesterday afternoon with the home side in the end deservedly booking a fourth round berth courtesy of a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
After the trials and tribulations of the season to date what a lift for all concerned and a great win for Jim Weir to begin his second stint in charge at Station Park.
A big pat on the back first and foremost to the Forfar faithful.
Even when the side went two down midway through the first half they stuck right behind the management and players and ‘boy o boy’ were they rewarded as the clock showed 5.40p.m. on a winter’s evening.
Certainly one has not seen celebrations of the nature that greeted Finlay Allan’s winning penalty for many a day at the old ground, but the management team will be quick to point out that the victory is only the start of a long journey as we return to league action at Stair Park next Saturday.
Thanks also yesterday to David McSheffrey and Sandy Kydd and their friends who booked hospitality packages in the McPhee and Houston Lounges at relatively short notice.
Your support is so appreciated and we trust you enjoyed the experience and the on field action.
Similarly a thank you to Sandy Nicoll one of our regular match day hosts and his group who took up the option of the 1984 Lounge package.
Graeme Campbell proprietor of the Stag Hotel continued his superb support of the club by sponsoring the match ball and as ever it was a pleasure to have him as a boardroom guest on the day.
