CRAIG SLATER RETURNS

Forfar Athletic are delighted to announce the return of midfielder Craig Slater, who joins us on a deal until the end of the 2026/27 season, subject to SFA clearance.

Craig, who had a hugely successful two year spell with the Loons between 2021 and 2023, joins from Arbroath for an undisclosed fee.

Craig’s return is seen as a big coup for the Club and has been helped over the line in no small part by the huge support that we’ve received from you, our supporters, through the Forfar Fighting Fund.

Craig was an integral part of the side that finished second in League Two in the 2021/22 season. He captained Forfar in the 2022/23 season, where he was named in the League Two team of the year and was nominated for the player of the year award.

Craig made 37 appearances in all competitions for Arbroath last season, then in the Championship, and has made a further 21 appearances for them this season. He also had spells at Dundee United, Kilmarnock and Partick Thistle earlier in his career.
