THANK YOU

Thank You
A familiar theme unfortunately this morning, the disappointment of a fourth successive home defeat but at the same time a big thank you again to the home supporters who turned out as had been hoped for in substantial numbers to back their side.
The away support on the day was to say the least minimal but the attendance still breached the 600 mark, around 180 more than was present for the first visit of the Capital City outfit back in November.
Thanks also to Edzell based Peterson Logistics out match sponsor on the day returning following their first visit last season.
Their party chose Cameron Logan as their ‘Loons’ man of the match.

The hospitality lounges were as ever fully occupied all by regular visitors over time.
Lee Hutcheon and his Monday night ‘footie’ squad occupied both the Houston and Kennedy lounges and that support was once again much appreciated, while David Shepherd and his colleagues, backers of the club in this fashion for many a year were in the Knox Lounge. Thanks to David for once again organising his group.
The Ian McPhee lounge housed the club legend himself and his fellow golfers from the King James Club in Perth, remarkably it has to be said regular supporters of Ian’s beloved ‘Loons’ in this fashion for near on twenty years.
Thanks for that remarkable level of support.
The match ball sponsor yesterday was Alan Shepherd a keen Athies fan himself, whose father Albert many years back was a Club Director and Treasurer. Thanks Alan and trust your party enjoyed the boardroom hospitality although obviously not the result.
The management and players will now have to dust themselves down before making their second lengthy trip of the month to Stranraer on Saturday first, title chasers Peterhead and East Fife due in the ‘toonie’ on the following two weekends.
