Forfar Athletic v East Fife – Match Information
[Tuesday, 01 April 2025 21:20]

The ‘Loons’ are in William Hill League2 action at the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park for the second successive weekend with East Fife currently tucked in one point behind league leaders Peterhead the opponents as the business end of the campaign comes fully into focus.
Jim Weir and his squad will go into what is the seventh home game of the calendar year still looking for that elusive first victory, but thankfully some very important and positive results on the road now see them sit three points clear of Bonnyrigg Rose with five games remaining. Still however nerve jangling times!
Once again on Saturday past the home side could not be faulted for lack of effort in the game against Peterhead, a hard fought feisty affair, but with goal scoring opportunities for both sides limited.
Dick Campbell’s side head for Forfar following a return to winning ways at the weekend, a 4-2 home win recorded over the Spartans, with all the goals coming in the second half of the contest.
The fixture is also as near as the ‘Loons’ get this season to a local derby with a fair contingent no doubt due to make their way over the silvery Tay on the day to add to the atmosphere.
A reminder that the ‘Kids for a Quid’ promotion remains in operation at this Saturday’s game and naturally this reduced pricing applies to those supporters of the appropriate age group from both home and away support.
