π΄ββοΈ Tour de Angus 2025 π΄ββοΈ

A huge congratulations to our 12 incredible cyclists who completed the 50+ mile Tour de Angus route, visiting the grounds at Brechin, Montrose and Arbroath, all to raise vital funds for Forfar Athletic.
The day began at 9:30am with a steady ride via Aberlemno to our first stop at Brechin, followed by a brisk coastal stretch to Montrose. After a well-earned lunch - kindly provided by Saddlers of Forfar - and a chance to stretch the legs, the group tackled some testing climbs at Ferryden before continuing on the scenic coastal route past Lunan Bay to Arbroath.
With glorious sunshine and barely a breeze, the riders were treated to near-perfect conditions which was a welcome change from some of the more challenging weather in past years. A short stop at Arbroath FC gave everyone a moment to regroup before tackling the final leg: a mostly uphill return to Forfar.
Our weary but determined riders made it back to the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park in good time for some much-deserved soup, sandwiches and light refreshments, again generously provided by Saddlers.
The Club would like to express sincere thanks to all who made the day such a success. A special mention to our event sponsors, D & A Factors Ltd, Tannadice Trophies & Engraving, and Moove UK for their support. Thanks also to Angus Print Services Ltd for supplying the brilliant rider t-shirts, to Tannadice Trophies for the medals, and to D&A Factors for providing the support vehicle that accompanied the group.
Loonsβ Directors wish to thank each and every cyclist for their outstanding effort, and everyone who has donated or sponsored the event so far.
