Your Club Needs You

As ever it seems at this time of the year the Directors of Forfar Athletic are making an appeal for volunteers especially to help with match day duties at Station Park.
Thankfully after struggling for some years, the position with regard to steward numbers seems to have been resolved and all credit to Safety Officer Iain Reid on this front.
However the club are as ever on the look out for the anyone willing to assist with the following.
Programme Sellers
This takes up only 30/45 minutes of your time prior to kick-off.
50/50 Ticket Sellers
Again this takes up only 30/45 minutes of your time prior to kick-off.
Although the club’s 50/50 prize on a match day compares favourably with many clubs, this is often down in the main to sales within the hospitality units and boardroom. There is little doubt that with a couple of extra and in particular boisterous assistants on the terracing and in the stand on revenue from this source could be improved.
Match Day Hospitality Host
Alan Shepherd, the Director in charge of the hospitality units on match day is always on the lookout for appropriate volunteers who enjoy a’ bit of a crack’ on the day to assist in this now exceptionally vital role at the club. With four units to be ‘policed’ at each home game it is a demanding role on the day.
However it is also an enjoyable way to assist your club ensuring that the paying guests get every opportunity to enjoy the now legendary ‘Station Park Hospitality Expereince.’
However you do not have to commit to every home game as a rota system does operate to a degree already and this can hopefully be extended in
the future.
You do however have to be available from just prior to 1p.m. until approx. 6.30p.m.
Anyone who feels able to volunteer their services for any of the above should in the first instance contact Club Secretary David McGregor on 01307 464924 (home) or 07871 165689 (mobile) or e mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
The SUPPORTERS CLUB have also seen their ‘active’ numbers diminish over the past couple of season. President Linda Craik and her committee would be delighted to welcome any new faces who would like to get involved to their Annual General Meeting which is scheduled to take place in the Boardroom at Station Park on the evening of Thursday June 28th.
