The Spartans v Forfar Athletic – Match Information

We are off on our travels on Saturday first with a visit to the Capital City to face Spartans at their re-named home venue the Vanloq Stadium.

It was not a ground on which the Athies had much success last season losing 1-0 on their first visit in league action, before a share of the spoils second time round courtesy of a 1-1 draw, this after we had lost a League Cup tie by the solitary goal of the game in July.

However Stuart Morrison and his colleagues will travel in good heart following the excellent performance on Saturday past against Stirling Albion which saw the ‘Loons’ assume top spot at this early stage of the season in the league rankings.

Our opponents on Saturday sit one point behind on the six point mark following eye catching away wins at East Kilbride and Clyde, their only home fixture to date however ending in a 2-1 defeat to Dumbarton.

Admission charges at the easily located stadium when travelling from the north side of Edinburgh are as follows;-

Concessions (16/18 year olds & 65 and over) £13
15 year olds and under £6
