Thanks Again

The ‘Loons’ beset on the day by injury woes never recovered from a three goal ‘blitz’ in the first twenty minutes of yesterday’s game with East Kilbride and despite giving a much better account in the second period failed to find the back of Joe Morrison’s net.
There is little respite this time round for the management and players, a similar squad looking as if they will have to dust themselves down and go again at the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park against Edinburgh City in the KDM Evolution Trophy in 48 hours time.
Off the field we welcomed back John and Jillian Simson from A.I. Simson Solid Fuels as match sponsors. Over the past couple of years the Kirriemuir based company have become another great supporter of the ‘Loons’ cause and Club Officials were delighted that despite the result their party appeared to enjoy their afternoon and early evening in the Sam Smith Lounge.
Many thanks for the continued backing. Their party chose Lewis Lorimer as their Forfar Athletic man of the match.

The four hospitality lounges were as ever full to capacity, all ‘weel kent’ faces in the main.
Many thanks to Gary McLuskey of Perthshire based haulage company G.R. McLuskey and his mates who were on their yearly ‘pilgrimage,’ as well as David Pearson and Alan Ramsay and their respective groups of friends who occupied the Stewart Kennedy and Archie Knox lounges, both parties regular backers in this way year on year.
Malcolm Napier’s friends and colleagues also had more than a handful of familiar faces amongst their ranks, as they were catered for in the Ian McPhee Lounge. Lewis Wilkie and his group, friends of club captain Stuart Morrison took the option on the day of the 1984 Lounge package.
Thanks to all, your support as ever so appreciated.
Finally a thank you as ever to the ‘Loons’ supporters who braved the dreich conditions in a crowd of just under 500 and despite the end result which was not what was hoped for stuck with the youthful home eleven till the bitter end.
After Tuesday night’s cup tie, full information for which will be re-confirmed on our social media outlets on Monday, we head to Annan next weekend, before a return visit from Edinburgh City on league business on the 20th of the month.
