From The Chairman
[Monday, 16 July 2012 16:40]
Now that it has been confirmed that Dundee will play in the SPL and in all likelihood that Stranraer will now play in SFL 2 the board welcomes a period of stability in our game.
We now know that we will play Dunfermline Athletic in the Ramsdens Cup on July 28th - we look forward to playing them on our newly completed new surface.
The last few weeks have been very troubled times and I can honestly say that this has been a massive learning curve for me as the new chairman of the club. I am extremely fortunate to have a wealth of experience in the boardroom to rely on and I hope as fans you will appreciate that we have conducted our business with dignity and integrity.
It is now time to move on and it is true to say that we are heading towards a period of financial uncertainty, but one thing is certain, we need your support now more than ever. If the unprecedented amounts of emails we have received in the last few weeks are to be used as a guide then I look forward to bigger crowds and season ticket sales for the forth coming season.
Please be assured that as your board of directors we continue to seek out new investment and financial opportunities for the club but nothing replaces bums on seats.
You will be please to learn that the new pitch is ahead of schedule and will be ready for the Dunfermline game - we have a lot to be positive about and let’s look forward to a good season of football.
Kind Regards
Alastair Donald
