2012 Annual Golf Day

The Forfar FC Golf Day is now in its 16th year and this year 19 teams took part in the event.

Good weather almost held out for the full day with only the final three teams being required to rush for umbrellas and waterproofs.

Despite a year when the rough was more punishing than usual a number of good scores were returned resulting in a very close finish with five teams in close contention for the main prize. At the end of the day the Forfar Football Club management playing under the business name of Avenue Scotland Recruitment won through and  the other main competition prize winners was a local team of Strathtay Potato Company lead by a regular visitor to Station Park John Smith.

The Avenue Scotland Team are now the proud owners of new golf bags emblazoned with Forfar Football Club name and logo and we look forward to seeing these on display across the country.
The Directors of Forfar FC Are grateful for the kind assistance of Forfar Golf Club in allowing the event to be staged and to the numerous local businesses providing prizes and sponsorship.

The detailed results are as follows....

Winner - Avenue Scotland Recruitment comprising Dick & Ian Campbell, John Young & Chris Campbell. 84 Points
2nd - Orchard Timber Products Team 1. 83 Points BIH.
3rd Texserve UK Ltd - 83 Points
4th Blackadders - 82 points.

The Rotational Ball Competition was won by Strathtay Potato Co comprising John Smith, Andy Braid, Graham Wilson & Martin McGregor with 44 points.
In 2nd place were The Water Rats with 41 points.
