Ayr United v Forfar Athletic

Dick Campbell and his troops travel west tomorrow to face Ayr United under the management of new boss Mark Roberts with the squad likely to show little or any change from the sixteen who clinched a 4-0 success over Stranraer last Saturday.

The club are hopeful that clearance will in fact be received for newcomer Odmar Faeroe later today and he will travel with the squad.

The ‘Loons’ last trip on what was for the Station Park men their last outing of the 2010/11 season  to Somerset Park  ended in an exciting 3-3 draw.

However and sadly we were already 4-1 down from the first leg of what was the semi-final of the First Division Play-Off, the ‘Honest Men’ going on to defeat Brechin City in the final.   Last season under Brian Reid’s stewardship, despite some great cup tie results, Ayr ended up losing out in the play-offs as they battled in vain to remain in the SFL’s top tier.

Saturday’s match will be refereed by long serving Grade One official David Somers.
