Of The Loons
This coming Saturday and Sunday the ‘Loons’ coaching and playing staff will enjoy a rare weekend off after a hectic ten weeks since training began as Scotland begin their World Cup campaign with a home game against Serbia.
However the Forfar players will keep their fitness levels in trim prior to the much anticipated visit of Brechin City on the 15th with a couple of training sessions as well as closed door friendlies on Station Park’s G3 surface against a Livingston X1 and near neighbours Montrose. Both of thee games will in all probability see the six or seven players who have not featured in Dick’s starting line-up in recent weeks given a full ninety minutes.
The club had intended entering a side in a revamped midweek Reserve League East this season but it now looks as if due to lack of participants this will not now go ahead.
