Boxing Day Fixture Switch

Alloa Athletic and Forfar Athletic have agreed to bring the Irn Bru League Division Two fixture originally scheduled for Boxing Day forward to Saturday December 22nd with the usual 3 pm kick off at Recreation Park.

Dick Campbell and Paul Hartley both felt that by utilising the spare Saturday prior to Christmas it would give a better spread of the four fixtures over the festive period fortnight and also not disrupt the training routine to any great effect.

To be fair it will also allow the players to enjoy Christmas Day with their families without the worry of a vital league encounter the following day.

Club officials realise that many supporters do enjoy a football match on Boxing Day but trust that they will understand the reasons behind the decision on this occasion.
