Of The Loons
Following last week’s second half collapse allied to County’s great fight back from being 3-0 in arrears at half-time, Dick Campbell’s men will now head north on Saturday for a third round replay in the William Hill Scottish Cup, a home tie in round four against Ayr United awaiting the winners.
Nairn will obviously be in buoyant mood with home advantage thrown into the equation and they were hopeful of having a couple of their squad who were unavailable last week for differing reasons back in the fold for the clash at Scotland’s other Station Park.
The ‘Loons’ injury woes continued when Danny Denholm picked up a thigh strain in the closing moments of last week’s epic encounter and this will rule him out of the replay, while Omar Kader is best man at his brother’s wedding.
On the plus side Martyn Fotheringham will return to the fold after suspension for what is certain to be a nerve racking ninety minutes with so much at stake for both sides.
Of course as it is a replay extra time and penalties could even come into the equation.
The match will again be handled by Dumbarton based official Euan Anderson, admission charges on the day £10 for adults, £5 concessions.
